Pierre, SD – Maguire Iron was honored at the South Dakota Association of Rural Water Systems ATC Conference on Friday, January 17, 2020, as the 2019 Associate Member of the Year.

At Maguire Iron, we help store and protect quality water. We do this by being the best water tank company for our customers and employees. This was the goal of Ed Maguire when he started the company in 1915 and Gene Jones Sr.’s vision when he bought the company from Ed in 1958. It is the same goal that the Jones family carries on today along with over 130 employees based in Sioux Falls.

“Being Awarded the Associate of the Year Award by the South Dakota Association of Rural Water Systems for 2019 is very rewarding as our sales and operations teams have been focused on providing the best services in the industry in our home state of South Dakota,” said Scott Jones, Vice-President of Maguire Iron. “It means a great deal to the Maguire Iron team to be rewarded for their hard work!”

One of the main reasons Maguire Iron won this award was because of training talks provided by Maguire’s Water Tower Experts, Rich Kemmis, and Chad Edwards.

Maguire Iron has been involved with the South Dakota Association of Rural Water Systems since the beginning and it has been wonderful to watch this organization grow in serving the municipal and rural water communities. It is our honor to receive this recognition from SDRWA,” said Rich Kemmis, Maguire Iron Water Tower Expert. “For countless years now Maguire Iron and I personally have been heavily involved with training and workshops to educate water operators, managers, and municipal officials. It has been a great pleasure for us to participate and assist the SDRWA in its training programs, and we look forward to continuing the partnership for many years to come.”
